Hi friends,
My wife and me are going to France in September for two weeks to celebrate our first anniversary with her family and friends. On ou way back to Mumbai we are planning to stop in Amsterdam for 3 days.
I would like to know which visa should I apply inorder to travel to France. Can I get a spouse visa for a short stay ? If yes, can I also travel to any other schengen country with this visa?
We approached the French Embassy and the VSF guys, but no response from them.
Kindly advice _________________ Warm Regards

Well, I am aware of the Schengen countries and I am not going through any travel agents.
Anyways, here's for all the Indian spouses of French citizens who dont intend to live in France:
The French Embassy issues a schengen visa which expires on the date of your passport expiration. You just need to apply with the following docs:
1. Valid passport
2. French marriage certificate
3. VSF processing fees on 221 rupees. (No other fees is to be paid)
4. one photograph
5. Regular Schengen form for short stay visa.
I am applying on the 14th June 2010, so shall keep you guys updated. _________________ Warm Regards

Yes, moving around EU countries is never an hassle and you dont even feel like you are crossing a border. But, anyways I will be going on the 14th and seeing how it works out. I am hoping to get my schengen stamped atleast till 2015 for now. _________________ Warm Regards
