Hi All;
I am an Indian citizen living in France since last 4 years. Actually I am going through very rough time right now.
Here is my story: I have got married to a French girl in Bombay under the Special Marriage act 1954, March 2006.
I shifted to France on May 2006. First three years were very nice I was well integrated in France. I have signed Contrat d’Acueil d’Integration (CAI) in France to integrate in French culture and to learn French language. I did my master studies in Ecole des Mines too. I also got my residence permit for 10 years for France.
But the beginning of the forth year 2009, she found a new boyfriend and she blackmailed me that if you don’t give me Mutual divorce (Divorce Amiable). I will put wrong charge on you that you came here only for papers.
I have never done any violence, and have no external affair.
Presently, I am living at a friend place as she doesnot want me to stay with her and also as recently I have finished my master studies I am in a search of job.
Could you guide me what I should do in this situation as I really don’t know. Also what will be consequences of this divorce mutual, do I lose my permit to stay in France. And It is even possible to get divorced in France as we got married in india.
Thanks in advance for your response, |

Unless you really want to stay in France, taking the divorce in India might be a better solution for you, financially speaking. Advocated here are really costly and often charge anything between 200 to 300 euros an hour. There are probably forfaits of 1000 euros for "divorce by mutual consent" (divorce amiable).
For staying back in France, things will be simpler for you once you get a CDI, given that you have done a good school here. So try getting a job as fast as you can. _________________ Request | Rules
