Let me see this with the committee members ... now that we are having a committee I won't have to take decisions alone Khol gaya dimag

Propose your ideas and then I will speak to others on this, what you think.

yep, well ... one idea once we can decide on a pédagogie, would be to send a mass-mail to all members, since there are many who doesn't visit the site regularly. So, by sending a group mail, we could touch them ...

but we need to decide a nice way to do this, something that won't be boring, and even people staying for a short period (say 6 months to one year - who don't really need to learn, but will do so if we can propose something nice in the plate) will show interest, and will keep the enthusiasm as the project progresses.

What say?

thta's why I suggested the chat, it is more fun, people can interact the ones wih the others. Of course people will have to be sorted according to their levels, by pairs for exple to dialogue together, but they will have to be active and give suggestions otherwise it won't last for long and I'll soon run out of gas.
Apart from introducing oneself, what I have in mind to begin with is situations in which people find themselves when arriving (go to the post office to buy stamps, shop, ask directions....things like that)
Yet if there are too many people at the same time, it won't work, each needs time to express him/herself....

ps. btw, is there a way to know if someone is in the chat while we are on the forum?

Hello All,
I am new on your site and I am glad I found it.

I am looking for the same as you guys, but the other way around...
I am french and I started to learn Hindi, kionki muchko Bharat bahut pasand hai !
What could be beneficial for both of us would be to help Hindi-natives meet French-natives for conversations.
Of course 'teaching' a language would be very time consuming and tedious, but only having regular chats/phone calls could help a lot improve foreign language. Thumbs up
One way is called a "swap café", where people meet at a defined place and decide to speak half of the time in each language.
The other way would be to do this on the phone...
But this requires to learn Hindi/French before on our own... Thoda soch lete hei bhai

Anyhow, with people trying to learn each other language, there should be a way.

Phir milenge,
Stef
