Permanent citizenship and job opportunities in france

Hi All,

i recently went to paris for a vacation and I have fallen in love with paris.
i work in India ( chennai) as human resources manager for one of the american companies which has got anoffice in chennai.

I would like to settle down in france the rest of my life. i would like to know how I can get a job there and finally get citizenship.
Is it possible to do some degree there and find a job.
If so,what is the waiting period for getting citizenshi

I have got around 9 years experience.

Please try to clear my doubts as I have been thinking about this for long.
