Marriage Certificate of Indian parents

Hi friends,

My fiancee and I are in the process of sorting out all the documents for the marriage, first in Indian and then get it registered in France through the French embassy of Mumbai.

The French embassy has asked for a marriage certificate of my parents and my parents wont give me that as they are against the marriage.

Do you guys have any solution to get out of this fix?
