माझे नाव विजय बनसोडे-माळी. मी मुळचा श्रीपत-पिंपरी तालुका बार्शी, जिल्हा सोलापूर येथला आहे. मी स्ट्रासबर्ग मध्ये २ वर्ष साठी येत आहे (बहुतेक सप्टेंबर मध्ये येईन). गेली ४ वर्षे मी आयर्लंड मध्ये विद्यावाचस्पती (पीएचडी इन मराठी) च्या पदवीचा अभ्यास करत आहे. अजून संपला नाही परंतु त्या आगोदर आम्हास नवीन नोकरी मिळाली आहे. सहज इथे ह्या धाग्यावर चक्कर टाकावी म्हणून लिहित आहे. अजून बाकी कुणी तिथे असेल तर भेटायला आवडेल. Party

Hello Marathi Speakers,

I didn't know that Marathi language is written in Devanagari script. Well, I am not an expert on the Indian languages. I think before it was written in modi script and I forgot that it was changed to devanagari script. Though it would be interesting to know why it changed.

And since the script changed, though I can read what you guys have written, I think there is very different pronunciation comparing to Hindi language. I am interested particularly in this letter 'L" of मुळचा . I found it lot in your text. I would like to know how to pronounce this letter. Seems tongue twister for north Indians. The next time I will meet a Marathi speaker, I will ask him : )
