Party Dear Friends,

After signed the joint treaty between France and Indian, now Indian working in France less than 5 years do not have to pay for social contribution.

Paris: Intha and France signed a Social Security Agreement under which Indian nationals working in France on short- term contracts of up to five years will not have to make. any, social security contribu tion if they are making such payments back home.
The scheme would cover even those Indian nationals who are deputed here by their em ployers from a third country In dian workers shall be entitled to export soc ial security benefits if they relocate to India after com pleting their tenure in nce.
India has already signed a social security agreement with Belgium, and negotiations are on for the conclusion of one with Switzerland. Talks with Norway and Sweden for the same are scheduled in the next few days, while government has already approved signing of similar agreements with Germany, Netherlands, Oman
and Btain. The government has been in informal talks” with the US for extending the social security net to Indians. US has asked for certain clar ifications on India’s social se curity system or employees provident fund to ascertain the extent of coverage. While these issues have been addressed, the agreement is likely to take some time to materialise.
Though US has signed such agreements with over 20 coun tries, it appears to be in no hur ry to do so with India. Mean while, India and France also agreed to bolster bilateral de fence ties by working on joint development of short range surface-to-air missiles and concluding a crucial deal on upgradation of JAF’s frontline Mirage 2000 fighters.

(i was in any case not paying anything).
