Indians In France working committee formed

Hi friends

Given that our community is now growing at a very encouraging rate, with increasing activities and more and more people turning up for our events, it’s probably time that we do things in a more organized way and share responsibilities.

Need of forming a team of core members thus came to mind, comprising of members who are active at this moment, ready to share responsibilities and who will be there for sometime in France. For the sake of convenience, and given that our Paris branch is most active of all, the working committee comprises of members from Paris, with independent in-charges of other cities (City heads).

Here is the present structure that has been discussed.

Working committee and board members from Paris:

Sourav Choudhury – President (Given that I’m pulling this project since it’s conception a year ago)
Ashwani Singla – Vice President (He is in France for the last 7 years, and is going to stay some more time)
Sandeep Sharma – General Secretary (Excellent in public relation, and a very thinking guy)
Priyanka Sharma – Treasurer (Now girls always manage money better, isn’t it?)
Pankaj Patpatia – Public relation officer and spokesperson (Excellent French, and an imposing personality)
Jean-Pascal Mateo and Hitesh Dhabaliya - Event management (Two of the most present and active members of our group and they know things)
Lalit Saraf, Anju Shaw and Faraz Mohsin – Counsellors (Honest people whom we can count on)

City heads:

Vivek Chamedia – In charge, Lyon.
Sabine Roige – In charge, Blois.
Naveen Kumar Chenna – In charge Lille.
Ankit Raj Mathur – In charge Toulouse.
Tarun Chawla – In charge Grenoble.

Some of the active members like Dhesigan or Sonia are not in the list because they will be leaving the country soon, and their names were discussed in our meetings.

Feel free to propose things, if you have any idea, by replying to this message, or let us know if you think you can take charge of any responsibility not mentioned above. We will discuss that in our next meeting.

Also, if you are from a city where we don’t have any in-charge yet, feel free to propose your name. Because, one of the main aims of this project is to develop groups across France, in different cities so that Indians or people liking Indian culture get a base set of like minded people, information and help when moving across cities or on arriving in France.

Sourav and me had shared such a dream since many years....and am so happy to see the Dream gradually Realised and it's a Big Leap Forward....the seeds sown by Sourav has been spreading and growing and Each One of You are such an Important Part of the Growth and the Success.

There was a time where one had no such possiblity to meet and share and learn...things were boring and difficult.

Now...We all are so fortunate to have such a Big, Interesting, Informative & Friendly Forum to share... learn ...grow together... socialise...enjoy ...and the new comers to France do not miss home anymore...it's home away from home ! For our French and other non Indian Friends, c'est deja une voyage en Inde ...Sharing & Being Together in IIF !
